The Global Somali Diaspora Condemns Terrorist Attack in Melbourne, Australia
Global Somali Diaspora (GSD) Australia condemns the terrorist attack happened in Bourke Street, Melbourne killing one person and injuring 2 people.

GSD Australia wishes to express its deepest sympathies and condolences to the families of the victims of these heinous and barbaric attacks.

Australia is a home for more than 20 thousands of Somali-Australian people who enjoy the freedom, democracy and better life in Australia. Similar to other Australians, the vast majority of the Somali-Australian community members are law-abiding, productive and good citizens. Therefore, this terrorist act's responsibility lies solely with the murderer who committed this horrific crime and not associated with the Somali community in Australia at all.

GSD remains committed to working with the Australian authority, and the wider Australian society including the Somali community for the wellbeing of all Australians. GSD urges all Australians to unite in order to fight against any terrorist acts in Australia and beyond.
