Among the 8,000 candidates taking the exam in Mogadishu were Hamdi Mohamed Hussein, a mother of an 8-day-old girl, and her husband Mohamed Abdi Ali.

Prime Minister Hamza Abdi Barre said his government prioritizes returning tax collected from the Somali people to the community to provide educational opportunities to three million Somali children who have reached the age of education.

Hamza Abdi Barre has asked people living in the country's educational centers to vacate so that Somali children can be served.

He directed the Security Agencies and the Ministry of Education to work together to restore those locations.
