Mogadishu (HOL) - A government soldier shot dead a police chief in Mogadishu's Daynile district on Sunday.
According to witnesses, Alas, the police chief of the Barwaqo Department, was killed following a violent dispute with his assailant, who was a soldier. The shooting also injured another soldier.
According to reports, the Daynile district security forces have detained the soldier who killed the chief as he attempted to flee the scene.
The deceased's family is asking for justice, but district security officials have not yet publicly commented on the matter.
