BOSASO (HOL) - Puntland President Abdullahi Deni escaped a bomb attack
after his convoy was attacked as be travelled to Bosaso, Bari region.
Sources said two of his bodyguards were killed after one of the vehicles in the convoy blew up.
The militant group Al-Shabaab has claimed responsibility for the attack.
The attack comes barely two days after two people were killed in a bomb explosion in Bosaso.
Deni was heading to Bossaso ahead of Lower House elections there.
