DHUAMAREEB (HOL) - Galmudug president Ahmed Qoorqoor has released the
list of candidates who will contest for the remaining seats for the
Upper House.
Current senator Abdi Awale Qabydiid will contest
with Awil Nur Ali for the first seat while Abdi Osman Hared will face
Mahad Adan Guled.
The election for the two seats will take
place on November 13 according to a schedule released by the State
Indirect Elections Team (SIET) for Galmudug.
This will mark the end of the Upper House elections which began on July 29.
The 54-member Upper House will jointly with the 275-member Lower House elect a new president.
