Somali Prime Minister arrives in the UAE

Somalia’s Prime Minister Abdiwali Sheik Ahmed has arrived in Abu Dubai on Sunday for bilateral talks with senior officials of the United Arab Emirates. Accompanying the prime minster is the Defence Minister, Mohamed Sheikh Hassan Hamud, and some members of the parliament.

The prime minister was received at the Dubai International Airport by Somalia’s Ambassador to the Emirates, Abdulkader Sheikhey Al Hatimi, and senior UAE officials.

During his three-day visit to the United Arab Emirates, the Somali prime minister will hold talks with the country’s leaders to discuss strengthening bilateral ties between the two nations.

The two sides will also raise other important issues relating to the UAE’s role in the development of the country’s judiciary system, security services, and the reconstruction of the country.

Last month, the United Arab Emirates launched a training course for Somali forces as part of the Arab nation’s efforts to help restore law and order in Somalia.
