Mogadishu (HOL) - Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud attended the
inauguration ceremony of the Kenyan's new President of Kenya, William
Samoei Ruto, in Nairobi on Tuesday.
Speaking during the inauguration ceremony, President Mohamud pointed out
the importance of diplomatic, economic, commercial and social
cooperation between neighbouring countries to overcome the problems of
poverty, food shortages, poverty, conflicts, and challenges caused by
climate change.
Reports indicate that the two presidents will hold a special meeting to examine the implementation of the agreements that Somalia's President signed with former Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta.
The President's delegation included Minister of Foreign Affairs Abshir Omar Huruse, Minister of Internal Security Mohamed Ahmed Ali Dodishe, the Minister of Trade and Industry Jabril Abdirashid Haji, and Minister of Information Daud Aweis Jama.More than 20 African leaders and international
delegates attended the inauguration ceremony at Kasarani Stadium in Nairobi.
