Jowhar (HOL) - Hirshabelle regional state Minister of Reconciliation, Abdikarin Ali Nur, has officially announced his resignation on Thursday, citing the regional President's failure to follow through on a commitment he made during his visit to Beledweyne town in February this year.
Abdikarim Ali Nur submitted his resignation letter to Hirshabelle President Ali Gudlawe Hussein. He accused the President of failing to correct the state's political power-sharing agreement, which has long been a cause of concern for Hiraan residents.
The minister's resignation comes as the President of the Hirshabelle region failed to implement a clan power-sharing agreement in Beledweyne with the traditional elders of the Hawadle clan.
