‎Ware said that President Mohamed Abdullahi and his allies suffered a painful political defeat in the Somali parliamentary speaker elections. ‎

‎He said the failure of President Mohamed Abdullahi was his track record for the past five years.

Ware pointed to Mohamed Mursal dropping out of the Lower House speaker race prematurely as a sign that Farmajo's Peace and Prosperity Party was not confident in their performance. Mursal was one of two speakers for the 10th parliament and a close Farmajo ally.

Ware urged Farmajo to follow Mursal's lead and drop out of the presidential election.

Mohamed Abdi Ware was President of Hirshabelle from September 2017 until his resignation in November 2020.
