Johannesburg (HOL) - A Somali national and a South African woman were shot dead by gunmen in South Africa on Tuesday night.
The victim has been identified as Ahmed, a Somali businessman, who was killed in Ga-Mawa Block 7 near Tzaneen in Limpopo province, South Africa.
The sources added that at the time of the killing, other Somali youths who were in the shop escaped on foot, and after the killing, they took large sums of money and other items from the shop.
South African police arrived at the crime scene and searched the area.
The robbers fled, and no arrests have been made.
Killings of Somali businessmen are a regular occurrence in South Africa. So far, no action has been taken by the Somali and South African governments, which have repeatedly said they will address the plight of Somali citizens.
