DHUSAMAREB (HOL) - The head of National Intelligence and Security Agency (NISA) in Dhusamareb region Abdirashid Abdi Qooji was this afternoon killed in a landmine attack.
Sources in the central Somalia town said the intelligence official alongside four bodyguards were killed after their vehicle hit a landmine in Eldhere area located some 30 kilometres south of Dhusamareb town.
There was no immediate comment from authorities but the militant group Al-Shabaab claimed responsibility for the attack.
