Prime Minister of the Federal Government of Somalia, Hassan Ali Khayre, closed the book fair in Mogadishu. He embolden the young writers in Somalia to help change the negative image of the country by showing the side the world doesn’t see, and contribute in building a bright future that attracts the world.
Prime Minister Hassan Ali Khayre said it is important for young people to write in Somalia, as reading and writing leads to development and to avoid violence and conflict.
Hassan Ali Khayre said the biggest challenge facing the country at this time is to change the world's thinking in Somalia.
However, he believes it is a great prospect as the youth focus on reading and writing to tell the world what Somalia is, what it was and what it can be.
