Mogadishu, Somalia, (HOL) - Transitional Federal Government of Somalia (TFG) declared that it banned using the Old Somali Passport and ordered Somalis to use the new Somali E-passport.
Spokesman for Somali President Hussein Mohamed Mohamoud ( Hub-sired) who read to the press in Villa Somalia a degree from President's Office said that TFG banned the usage of the green passport and underlined that starting from 30th September 2008 the e-passport will fully come into an effect.
Hussein Hub-sired added that the new passport is modern-electronic passport and he urged the Somalis to take it before the old passport expires.
The decision from Somali President Office to stop the usage of old passport coincides with a blockade on Mogadishu Airport for the 5th day.
