Mogadishu, Somalia (HOL) - In a telephone press release given to media outlets in Mogadishu, the spokesman for Al-shabab Movement Sheik Muqtar Robow Abu Mansur discussed wide ranging issues such as the agreement signed between the Alliance for the Re-liberation of Somalia (ARS) and the Transitional Federal Government (TFG) of Somalia, the TFG troops trained in Ethiopia who recently returned to Somalia and the MPs from the Bay region who recently promised to fight Al-shabab forces.

The spokesman said that the ARS is unable to implement ceasefire because their members are in hotels in some foreign countries. He added that the people who are able to declare and implement ceasefire are those engaged in the fight on the ground and that Al-shabab movement will continue its struggle until it liberates Somalia from the enemy that has invaded it and its puppets.

The spokesman also said that the TFG troops who recently returned from a military training in Ethiopia are meant to loot the Bakara market (the biggest market in Mogadishu).

“We advise you to leave TFG and not risk your lives. When you come to us we will buy your weapons and we will save your lives” said the spokesman who added that his group will continue its struggle even if Ethiopian troops withdraw from Somalia.

“Until we liberate the country from those opposed to the implementation of Islamic Sharia in the country we will continue our struggle and we will fight anyone who opposes the implementation of Sharia law in Somalia” said the spokesman.

The spokesman concluded the press conference by saying that the MPs from Bay region who recently promised to fight Al-shabab to be incapable of fighting against Al-shabab forces and that they do not represent the genuine desire of the people of Bay region.
