BERLIN (Deutsche Welle) - Germany is to provide an additional 1.5 million euros to humanitarian organisations working in Somalia.
The Foreign Ministry in Berlin said the move was in response to recent developments in Mogadishu, described as a cause for concern.
The Red Cross is to receive 1 million euros, and a German disaster aid agency the remainder.
Germany has provided 4 million euros in humanitarian aid since the beginning of the year, as well as an additional 750,000 euros to help refugees in Somalia's neighbouring countries, Kenya and Ethiopia.
