During talks with Djibouti Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation Mohamed Ali Yusuf yesterday, Meles said that strong support should be extended to strengthen the TFGS, which has been recognized by IGAD, AU, UN and the international community.
Meles said that the international community and the countries in the region should provide unreserved assistance to the TFGS to enable it determine its own fate, according to a Spokesperson of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Meles also said that the crisis in Darfur is of a prime concern, and added that the Abuja peace agreement should be implemented to bring about lasting peace in the region.
Mohamed Ali Yusuf on his part said that he has presented a message from president Ismail Omar Guelleh inviting Meles to attend the 11th summit of the Common Market for Eastern and Southern Africa (COMESA) to be held in Djibouti soon.
Meles and the Djibouti Minister had also discussed the Ethio-Eritrea situations.
