Bomet Governor Isaac Ruto has petitioned President Uhuru Kenyatta to consider withdrawing Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) troops from Somalia.
Speaking in Kericho town, the former Council of Governors chairman argued that information filtering out from Somalia was that Kenya's troops had since turned into an occupation force.
"If the general population of Somalia is of the view that the KDF have become an occupational force, then we have no business being there," said Ruto.
